A Sinner's Warmth
Katie Achilli
Cold.
So cold without you,
vile sinner.
Then I see you here,
in my dreams.
Your horns scrape my neck,
and your tail lashes around my legs.
I surge you in,
like taking a shot,
like sipping a pill.
Electricity volts down my throat
like a wire with epilepsy.
Shock me, shake me.
Burn the stars inside my eyes,
and fray the strings around my heart.
Then bring me back in the morning.
So cold without you,
vile sinner.
Then I see you here,
in my dreams.
Your horns scrape my neck,
and your tail lashes around my legs.
I surge you in,
like taking a shot,
like sipping a pill.
Electricity volts down my throat
like a wire with epilepsy.
Shock me, shake me.
Burn the stars inside my eyes,
and fray the strings around my heart.
Then bring me back in the morning.
