My favorite food is food! My tastes are wide ranging. There is much I do not like except liver and tongue.
1. Like Bread
This poem carries a memory of a mentor from my early years in the sixties juxtaposed against wonderings about our present time and place.
2. Angels Weep for Us
Inspired by an observation of a Robert Frost looking, elderly man with a wisp of white hair, wandering the side of the road near the swing bridge in South Bristol, ME. He looked like he was looking for something or someone, and was perhaps confused.
3. Possibility
Near the ocean I gazed upon a glistening bay lined with many ancient rocks. This woman came to me in my imagination.
4. Red Dirt, Wall Street, Busy Feet
I have a long connection with the people of Rimbi, Zimbabwe where I spent some time early this year. Their situation is dire, even desperate as they attempt to survive years of a brutal dictatorship. What inspires them? What inspires me? What hope is there for real change of any kind? What difference can or does the Occupy Movement make for us, for them?
