More about Forbes Farmer
_After
a few years doing civil rights work in the deep south and running a
delinquency prevention program in Massachusetts, I started teaching at
FPU in 1975. I received my Ph.D. in sociology and social work at Boston
University, teach research and courses related to social work and
criminal justice, and live in Rindge. I also enjoy
metal sculpting (one of my pieces is that blue abstract thing between
the campus center and Marcucella Hall). I like comfort food like meat
and potatoes, but also enjoy Chinese. “How You See IT” was inspired by
the many prison inmates I have known over the
years. They come from all walks of life and must continuously adjust to
the “pains of imprisonment.”
