We're Different
Forbes Farmer

We’re very different you and I.

I like earth. You like sky.

I like cold. You like hot.

I like spinach. You do not.

I got big feet. You got small.

I like summer. You like fall.

I like old stuff. You like new.

I like liver. You like stew.

Red’s my color. Yours is blue.

Frogs and snakes will suit me fine.

With those guys you draw the line.

Climbing mountains. Swimming streams.

Going myself. Joining teams.

We’re different you and I.

Chocolate cake. Apple pie.

On each other we depend.

For the goal we comprehend.

I drink coffee. You drink tea.

Perigee and apogee.

Opposites we hereby blend.

For a message we do send.
