rush and retreat.
Plastic bag body frame filtering
remnants of sleeping fish.
                
Translucent bowler hats breaking the ceiling
shrinking away from the atmosphere, flimsy
sinking to rebuild where they belong,
Tendrils trailing behind hoods.

Brushing against flesh, exposed electrical elements drag out welts,
burning pink hills; apply vinegar.
Aquatic wasp departs by blue swell,
passing frantic legs, and anchors.
